Wich paints you use?..what do you recomend and what paints are a nightmare and wich ones you dream to have?.... Well, I use Tamiya, Vallejo, Polly's, Model Master acrylics all... I really recomend Vallejo to paint figures, tamiya for the tanks with airbrush, Polly's for everything... and model master only in special cases in airbrush, they suck with brush same as tamiya. The worst for me are humbrol, they feel like glue...and I dream to have the Tamiya enamels....but in america there is no way no get them.... Now is your turn, and experience....

I like Model Master Acryl paints, they brush ok for me, and airbrush great! Talk about flat..... they are the flatist finish I have seen, well, until you gloss coat for decals... I also use Tamiya acrilics for both brush and airbrush. I have found a moist brush with the Tamiya thinner will alow me to brush paint, even though it usually takes two coats. My dream??? a great brand with lower prices.... until then I would like to see the Vallejo line carried local so I could GO to the local hobby shop and buy it. I don't like to mail order paint. I also like artists oils with Turpinoid for doing washes.

Definetely Model Master Acryl II and Polly S acrylic paints are my best bet I use them for airbrushing and hand brushing with excelent results. I thing I have found about these paints is that you really have to stir them really well in order to work properly with the airbrush.
Another brand that I use is Tamiya but only for airbrushing as they are a pain in the neck to use with a brush!!

;D So my job had me waste a Saturday at work for "training" in Los Angeles. What to do to make it better? Of course, a trip to Brookhurst hobbies!! Great model shop for browsing, and eye shopping, but a bit on the expensive side. BUT, they do carry the Vallejo line of paints, I have been reading about them and hear Gabriel talk about them so my goal was too get them and give em a try. I bought 15 colors between the "model color" and "panzer aces" line. I gave them a test drive this weekend, so far they have been awesome. I have only brush painted with them so far, but I like the squeeze a drop bottles, looks like it will save me paint, and they thin and clean with water. Next test will be airbrushing...... I only wish there was a store in San Diego that had them. Well, I know I can get them at brookhurst and thru squadron mail order. I would recommend them, give em a try.
