Moving to area this fall

Hello everyone,
I am moving to the area this fall and looking to fall into place with a club. I currently live in Texas and have been in an active club for the past few years. I truly enjoy learning new things and meeting people that share the interest. I have been building (dabbling) for the past 6 years, still consider myself a beginner. Never competed, just build for fun.
Looking forward to meeting everyone in person.

Hi Trae,
Welcome to San Diego.
When you arrive you will find many modeling clubs here beside just the Secret Society of Model Builders. There is an IPMS chapter here, and AMPS chapter, model car club, ship modelers guild it all depends on what you like to build.
Our group, SSMB, has members that pretty much cover everything. We are non IPMS, and gather once a month to enjoy modeling.
We are also on Facebook, search secret society of model builders and join the group.
