It has been almost 3 weeks since I last worked on a model, and I still have 8 more weeks to go before I can build something again. I am starting to feel the symptoms of modeler's withdraw:  - I want to buy ANY model available - I cant stop thinking about models - I keep staring at the model boxes for long periods of time - Cant focus in the task at hand. I got to do something!  |

;D Scale modeling is a horrible hobby.... I understand how you feel Mexmarine. Most of my days are about the hobby in one way or another. If I don't get a chance to build I think about it, either the project I am working on or a future project I want to do. I hate going to stores that have nothing "hobby" related in them, when I do go to stores, I look at things in a modeling way..... "will this thing help me, or can I use it in a project". Maybe if I wasn't a modeler I would be a bank president or something and be super rich..... But I am happy being middle of the road and able to have time (more than I should) to model. It is strange how a lot of people seem to have this "collection" fetish. We spend a lot of money and time on something that usually once we die will go to the trash or be sold off and just not have the meaning to who is left behind.  But, what the hell..... when is my next trip to the hobby shop!! |

The whole week goes by with endless torture of power point presentations, gruesome PT sessions up and down hills, and strings of homework assignments in official naval format.  Then the weekend gets me, and I dont have a model to work on, not even a puzzle to put together... as I see my calendar I can but to wonder if I will remember how to build a model by the time I get some time to do it  Lucky you guys! |

Jose I haven't build since januarythis year, my modelling table is so dusty and dirty and all mix....I miss the friday night meetings with you guys.. I saw a lot of new faces and a lot of new models in the tables, I wish we can have back the veterans museum....where is Melanie !!!? Dan Hope you are ok too, I really miss talking to you like we every morning on the old job...in part that keep my modeling mode on...hope to see you guys soon... take care... Gabe...  |
