Something about the way this aircraft looked made me get the kit. It is a newer kit from Hobby Boss in 1/72 scale. The kit has 2 choices in markings, West German or Indian Navy...... If it fits as good as it looks, it will be a fun build. Box Art The decal sheet looks good I have decided on the Indian Navy markings. This is the rather different fuselage breakdown, upper and lower as well as left and right. Cockpit parts, decals for the main panel and side panels even though they have some raised detail. I am using the main panel decal and painting the side panels. I will add the throttle quadrants and seat belts to the seat.

a bit more work has been done, things have been glued together, the fit is mostly good, but there are a few spots that need a bit of sanding to improve everything.

This has been off the bench for awhile, but it is back.... I have brushed on 2 coats of future and have started decaling. The kit decals are working great! They are a little thin and you can just barely see the line of camo under the decals, but, they are thin and go into the panel lines well! The ID code decal folded over on itself in two spots, and had me very worried..... after I finally got it unfolded and applied I hoped for the best. Looking today after it dried, it looks fine.

Those decals are looking good, unfortunately, the only way to fix the transparency is by applying a white base decal, and by the time the color one are applied, is too late ; so let the judges bite this one and enjoy the model.

almost done.... After I put on the decals I realized I didn't paint the panels around the guns..... oops, mask and paint! pretty much done, an easy kit to build, the worst part of the kit is the main panel, it is only a decal. the side panels in the cockpit are raised detail and paint up well...... just that main panel. To bad because the canopy is very clear. portrait soon
