This Sherman tank was recently found in the Pasig river where it flows into Manila Bay.
I don't know much about it, except for these pictures. makes me wonder if they found the turret too.
During WWII Manila was occupied by the Japanese in 1942 after Gen Macarthur declared it an "Open City" and when the Allies returned in 1944 the Japanese fortified and fought hard in Manila, the city still has many scars from the battle. I would assume this tank was part of the battle.
