I recently made a trade with Corpsman, a modelart book for a USS Lexington 1/700 kit...... Gus sent me the Lexington as agreed and added in 2 Tamiya, 1/700 kits of USS Enterprise. The whole Pacific fleet carrier force sailed in one day!
I am gathering references for these 2 Yorktown class carriers.... by reading thru the "Calling all Ships Fan" in Modelwarships.com.
There is a thread on the USS Enterprise, USS Yorktown and USS Hornet (the 3 Yorktown class ships). It's making my brain spin!
The plan is now to do one kit as USS Enterprise at Midway and one as USS Yorktown either pre-war or at Coral Sea.....
And of course to do the Trumpeter kit of USS Lexington at Coral Sea.
