Here is my What if.... the F7F-3 Tigercat was used in Vietnam. It's a 1/48th scale AMT/ERTL kit mostly out of the box and out of a few other boxes from Monogram. I don't have an airbrush, but I do have a few Rattle Cans and a big roll of Blue Masking Tape and I'm not afraid to use them! I added Snakeye bombs from Hasagawa and rocket pod and mini gun from Monogram. I had to add 2oz of lead weight to the nose and 1oz. behind each engine and cut an shorten the nose oleo to bring the CG forward so it would sit on the landing. I also used True Detail wheels. I cut the prop hub off and flipped the prop over and re-glued the prop back on and re drilled the prop. The props were some how flipped over when they were made by AMT/ERTL. I still have alot of little detail to add to it and the tail markings. So here is were I am at for now. Will post more pic's when done.
