Hmmm, good question.... According to Micro Set solution it can be used to remove decals, but I have never tried it. If the decals have been overcoated with a gloss or flat clearcoat then you have bigger problems.
I also think it depends on where the decal is on the model and what company made the decal and how long ago it was applied.
Anyone else have an idea?

Micro Set is the best way to remove decals only if they do not have an overcoat of either flat or gloss otherwise there is no way of removing the decal wthout damaging the paint, one possible way is to use scotch tape over the decal and pull them off but a t risk of removing some paint this is in case they have a previous overcoat.

Thank you Gents, I will try the Micro set and the tape. I am lucky there was'nt a clearcoat applied to it. It's a 1/72nd KLM "Connie" with half the decals comming off. I'll let you know how it turns out.

The tape worked Great! I used Blue masking tape and the decal came off quite easy. It did not mar the silver paint finish or leave any glue from the tape to rube off. Thanks Carlos and Daniel for your help!
