Clemenceau 1/????

So, for my next act...of desperation...

The Lodela (Heller) Clemenceau in 1/1280



A simple base



A VERY simple island, as simple as the hull and deck





Here is a problem: the decals are too big for the scale...HMMM!



All the F-8's and the Super Etendards were missing the aleirons and the rudders so I had to make some from plastic (white)





These are the cannon turrets and the radars also made from plastic



For some odd reason the original mast was to large...maybe someone is trying to compensate for something...



So now, it is almost time for paint and decals

Hmmm, I can't wait to see the French Navy roundels put on those aircraft!! ;D

Very nice Jose, scratch building in this scale is fun, very nice job on the aircraft!

Heller makes a Joan of Arc in this scale..... could be a nice diorama.

Would a Tamiya paint marker work for the flight deck markings?? mask off the lines then use the marker...

So Dan was in the right path, I painted the lines but markers are too thick to do the lines, as you can see in the elevator.



So I had to paint the black lines by hand and then mask them



And the airplanes got painted too (I couldn't resist to fold some of the wings) ;D

Jose, that is a nice job in a tiny scale! hehehehe, do yourself a favor and move up to something BIG like 1/700 scale!
I have a 1/700 Zuikaku (old tooling) I let go for a song....
