Here is the most recent one I have completed.... In the late 1950's early 1960's the USN tried different ideas to put missiles on submarines. Here is an early attempt at a diesel powered cruise missile sub. It was an old WWII Balao class sub with major rebuilding into a sub to hold and fire a "Regulas" nuclear cruise missile. This kit has the regulas I sub sonic missile, another kit in the takara line has the same sub fitted with the regulas II supersonic cruise missile (I don't have that one yet) Here is what you get in the average sub kit box. Story of the ship..... On the back you get ads for movies or new kits, plus the assembly instructions for the kit. They may not have the best detail, or painting. But they would be a good start for a modeler to rebuild by adding/refining detailing.
