Is it a soft plastic figure? if so, you need to primer first and then apply the color. However due to the natural grease of our fingers, no matter how much paint , or how much you let it cure, the exesive handling will always damage the paint. I think the best thing to do is to mount the figure on a base and handle it this way so you dont have to touch it any more.
Is this your figure for the challenge?

I have also experianced Vallejo rubbing off as you handle it. from what I have read (I think on the MIG forum) is that it dries fast but for repeated handeling it takes a week or two to be fully cured. A clear coat will help keep it on the surface, as well as changing the way you paint. have you drilled a hole in your figures foot (or put it on a temporary base) and put a rod in to use as a handle while you paint? That will keep your hands off the figure more and on the handle/temp base. But I do love vallejo paint!

;D The rod you put in the figures foot will also help keep it secure on its final base. Drill a matching hole in the final base and use the pin in the foot into the base........ just in case your model rides with Gabriel!! hehehehe.....

Agus.. The best thing like the guys said, is to wash the figure first with soap and water, after that you drill a hole in one boot and glue a metal wire, a medium one, after that you use a tamiya or mr. surfacer primer (grey), to protect and have a better surface for the paint to grab.... Let it dry for two days and start using your vallejo paints, grab the figure by the wire...¡not the figure!.... The best thing is to start painting the flesh tones and then the uniform, never touch the figure and you will have a great result...! See you next meeting. P.S. If you want bring one figure and your paints and brushes and I can help you painting one...

Maybe we should do a "face painting" or"Cammo painting" session at the next meeting?
