So, I have been looking at our forum and noticed a big slowdown in posting, especially of pictures and I was wondering if it also a slump in people's building or just in posting on the forum? I know I am in a slump, it has been hard to "find time" to build, my current excuse in my Mini terrorist who has decided when I sit at my modeling desk that is "her" time for bonding...... hmmmm. I also have a lot of "stalled" projects that I have lost interest in, but I don't want to start any more until I power thru and get some finished! I have 3 ships, 2 submarines, 5 aircraft, 3 tanks, and 1 spacecraft that have been started and are now stalled. I am not in a slump for seeing, wanting, and buying new kits!! I have acquired at least a dozen different types since this slump began. Some of my stalled projects are at 90% complete and yet they sit and wait... It is not time, Hello Kitty is good at giving me time to build, I find myself sitting and looking at the kits, thinking of how I will build them, but I don't seem to pick up the glue! It is not TV, i don't really watch it much..... It is not the weather, it is fine, not to warm, not to cold in the bunker.... It is not inspiration, I look at MexMarine's post and enjoy them and want to get started..... Strange, I know in a week or a month, I will get the urge to build, and won't be able to have enough time to build, I will "get in a groove" and finish 3 or 4 and start 2 or 3 more, and the slump will be over for awhile until the next time. Do you get slumps and what do you do to get over it???

I know what you mean, when that happens to me, I try to focus in one model with a puspose, for example, of all my projects, I want to finish the F-5 before leaving to San Antonio and have it ready for OrangeCon.
But over all, you should never work on a model if you are not in the mood, or BAAADDD things happen.
Just do something else like cleaning all your brushes, tools and airbrush, take some time to reorganize your table and re-stock your supplies or look for more tools in art stores or where ever.
I bet once you feel ready, you will start working on those models again.
Good luck, and I"ll see you on friday!

Well...I think and feel the same way sometimes, and more after the summer events or the BajaCon...because after all the stress to make a good show and the preparation of the same after all that you don't want to know nothing for a couple of months.... Right now I only start my rocket launcher and the zero but..didn't feel to much attraction for them... ..and went back to the computer the surf on the web... The next show for me is the AMPS in April...so I have seven months to finish two proyects...My Tiger I Mid version and my Land Schlepper... Also a good help from the club creating competition with the group build make me build...so lets forget the bad days and start bulding... ;D

I've been in a slump for quite awhile< but things are picking up. A couple of guys at another site ask that I do some work for them, Some 1/48th tankers and a sparten Kind of nice to not worry about painting the figures.
