hmmmm, looks like a Pz IV E on the horizon.... maybe in the Balkans? here is my update, I have been working on the crew, all 6 are at least 1/2 assembled and painted. The driver is done, radio operator needs a head and hat, and my gunner needs a hat. some small pieces have been added to the tank, looks like only the lights and spare track need to be finished for it.

here are the final pictures of "Le Debacle'" France 1940. The idea for this diorama came from a book on the battle of France in WW II. It was about how the German army was able to defeat the French in such a short amount of time. While most of the book is about the politics and personalities in France between WW I and WW II, there is also a chapter on "Le Debacle'" as the French call it. It appeared to the French high command that the German army was attacking thru Holland and Belgium, just as they had though and prepared for. The French put the Dyle plan into action and moved their army into Belgium to meet and defeat the Germans. The French were unprepared for the "new" way of warfare that the German army had developed with the tank and airplane. As the French were deploying into Belgium, most of the German armored forces were making their way thru the lightly defended "impassable" Ardennes forrest". When they came out the Germans were lucky in that their attack fell upon the boundary of 2 French corps causing confusion in command, they also struck 2 corps that were mainly composed of very old reservists (40 t0 55 year old men) who were not happy about being back in the army. The men were veterans of WWI and when the Germans hit them with unchallenged attacks from Stuka dive bombers followed rapidly by armored attack the lead French division broke and ran from the battlefield, destroying their artillery and dropping most of what equipment they had. As I read about this I could imagine what was going on and this diorama came out of it. A Panzer IV D having just crossed the river and entering the French line take time to recover "war trophies" of helmets and a flag.... In defense of the French soldiers, this battle was lost in the politics and pride of the personalities of the late 1920's and early 1930's who formed the "dyle plan", and left the soldiers poorly equipped and prepared for modern warfare.

Another German... ? ;D Hehehehe.... You did a great job, those figures are awsome, of course thanks to Vallejo paints..hahaha... The basic Panzer gray paint it's a hard one to work, the aplication of oils that you apply gives the different tones and adds light to the paint, also the addition of all the figures look stuning..!! Congrat.. on that model and keep building...of course German ones..hehehe...
