yea..... real soon!! Sorry for the delay, internet problems on my end have slowed this down. But here we go........ WinterFest 2011 in pictures!! Up first, a nicely done german soldier. Painted by John B. from the East Valley Wizards in Arizona. Need something colorful in your display case? How about an X-1 like this 1/48th scale one built by David W. from IPMS San Diego. This SBD-5, Dauntless in 1/32 scale (trumpeter) was done by Dany G. IPMS San Diego. Dany also built this fine race car in 1/24th scale by MPC, the Olsonite Eagle. Comrade, you looking for your tank? it parked in woodline! Tamiya, 1/48th scale SU-122 built by Jim S. of E. V. Wizards. A very colorful little Bearcat in a big scale (1/32) by Gary W. of IPMS San Diego. This Tamiya, 1/35th scale M-48A3 tank was pulled out of Vietnam by IPMS Phoenix member Keith P. Another build by John B. this time a Matilda by Tamiya in 1/35th. This collection of Egg Planes and book was on display by Daniel C. of the Secret Society of Model Builders. more as soon as I can upload them!

Okay, some more from the show.... A Tamiya, 1/35th scale IS II built by John B. A vignette from the great war.... "over the top" by John B. Andrea miniatures, 54mm. Hmmm, this a Reaper miniatures 35mm "Unchained Cyclops" by Ed Souza of Warbird decals. Sweets on sale..... Airbrushed by Hello Kitty, yes, thats right.... airbrushed! For the hungry, there was food to eat.... like this burger. The Kitchen crew was, Angelica,her sister and fiance who drove down from LA AND also gave a sponsorship to Winterfest. Thank You!! A Vietnam soldier reading a magazine. This vignette was built by Ed S. It is Verlinden 1/35th scale. An old Fujimi, 1/700 CVL Ryujo by Daniel C. Ryujo again along with Lt cruiser Natori, a 1/700 Tamiya kit by Daniel C. Natori book by Angelica. A "Seehund" in 1/72 on the left and U-123 in 1/700 on the right by Jim S. with the Heavy cruiser "Takao" a 1/700th, Skywave kit by IPMS San Diego's Mark K. Ethan I. of IPMS San Diego built these HobbyBoss 1/1250 scale Ships. Yes, 1/1250 ships with p/e added! They are CG-47 USS ticonderoga and a Spruance DD the Harry W. Hill. Awesome work. Let's do it, more pictures! Dany's SBD-5 and in the background his AV-8B Harrier in 1/32 scale. Gary W. brought this 1/32 scale TBF-1C Avenger.......... ......and this 1/48th F3H-2, Demon by Grand Phoenix. Jerry L. out of IPMS Orange built this 1/72scale, Anigrand XF-88 "Voodoo". A conversion of Heller kit into an XP-64 in 1/72 scale, also by Jerry L. Scott B. of El Cajon built this Academy, 1/72scale "Martlet". The Wildcat looks pretty good in FAA paint. Has anyone noticed that Airfix is back??? And back in a good way, not only are they re-releasing older kits, but they are updating a lot of them as well. This next trio are new Airfix kits, out of the box. Engraved panel lines on an Airfix kit!! Yay! These were built by Scott B. First up, the 1/72scale Bf-110 Spitfire, Mk 1a and a Bf-109 A nicely displayed F/A-18 Hornet by Revell in 1/144 scale. This model was built by Jim S. from the East Valley Wizzards.

A 40mm Bofors AA gun in 1/35 by Brad B. of the Secret Society of Model Builders. Comrade, your tank still in forrest.... Pacific theater M4A3 Sherman by Mark K. of IPMS San Diego. Another view of the Vietnam M48A3 Older Tamiya Panzer IV H in the Bulgarian tank brigade markings, by Daniel C. Jose G. of the Secret Society of Model Builders enterd this 1/144th scale AAVP of the USMC, this is a Trumpeter kit. A very nice T-55 built from the Tamiya 1/35th kit by Steve M. of IPMS Orange. The Tamiya Renault UE built by Brad B. A 1/35th scale T-26 tank built by Jim S. of the EV Wizards. I like this!! A Type 89 of the IJA built from the 1/35th scale Fine Molds kit by Brad B. A 1/72 scale ESCI kit of the T-34/76 by Ethan I. This is a small 1/72 scale vignette of the E-100 tank, the kit is by Dragon and it was built by Jerry J. of IPMS San Diego. A USMC M1A1 tank in markings of a tank in Bagdad in 2003, the model is Dragon 1/35th scale built by Jose G. More to come after some more uploading....

A few more aircraft.... This F9F-5 was built for the Coronado Library celebration of Naval aviation. It is the Monogram kit in 1/48th scale built by Mike O' of the Secret Society of Model Builders. John H. of San Diego brought this Revell, 1/48th KA-6D "Intruder". Jim S. also built this Hasagawa 1/72 scale SR-71 "Blackbird" always an impresive looking aircraft. What, Airfix again??? Yep, this is the 1/72 scale offering of the RAF Buccaneer in Desert Storm "pink" built by Jose G. A Revell, 1/72 scale F6F-5 "Hellcat" built by Jim S. Airfix new tooled A6M2 "Zero" by Scott B, the model is 1/72 scale. David W. of IPMS San Diego built the Tamiya 1/48th scale FW-190 D-9.
