I am from the Philippines . . Thanks!! It's an honor seeing Danielc's rendering of Philippine Air Force Maj Franco's F-5A Blue D No. 1. It captured the looks of the BD 1 . . Taking inspiration from the post here’s another Philipine AF subject posting. This was my “ First” in many years (decades, actually) in modeling.. it’s a “come-backing’ project which subject is the personal mount of the 5th fighter Wing commander, Philippine Air Force circa 1950s., Major (later Colonel) Benito N. Ebuen… The kit is 72nd scale from Academy wearing two sets of home-made decals one on either sides (short one kit!!, lol)…(markings and data stencils).. above images show the early "Shark of Zambales" markings (on the port side) . . which the prototype wore when it headed the Wing's visit to ROCAF (Taiwan) in early 50's.. And the late “Shark of Zambales” markings (starboard side). . more images.. Paint used was Krylon Chrome automotive enamel with pencil graphite for metal tones... but, panel line washes/weathering were intentionally skipped... (since the taking of the photos the graphics been refined to commercial quality) . . and, below is the last recent beauty shot of a the Shark of Zambales with a (what if) companion.. and, finally the "LIGHTER SIDE" of the Shark.. next to get attended to in the coming few days.. thanks for viewing... regards... I will be doing the shark at a future date..... I will need to modify the micro scale decals to do the shark mouth in blue as the decals sheet has it in red.....
But........ I Love That Eggplane!!!!!!! ;D being the builder of a dozen egg planes..... I wish I had thought of this before I did the mustang egg out of the box... very cool.

Dan, there's a note on the Micro-Scale decal sheet on PM . . And.. thanks for loving the Egg-plane.. I have the reverse: I have several decal graphics but only one egg-plane to spare! (sad, sad) Your eggs are a work of art! Many thanks, OSO . . Nice aircraft. great job on the decales Appreciated much your compliment, Captfue! Nice job with the alumminum finish anda I also like that A-4 on the background! Many thanks, MexMarine . . I can't help falling over on your Buccaneer! I have the same kit and am thinking ahead on that Desert Pink color Humbrol 250 . . I hope I could be ssuccessful getting Tamiya mixes... Thanks finding the A-4 to your liking... It was built for my sister-in-law as her 25th December (mine a day earlier) birthday gift in 2009 … I was at lost of idea what inexpensive but a bit out of the ordinary gift when I hit on the idea of the doing another similar one that I did earlier.. having one’s picture on a 72nd aircraft airframe! And, taking inspiration from Lady Jessie, the project ended as below: And below is the solo close up photo of the model with the recipient’s picture inset.. And here’s the one I did very much earlier.. In fact, the first model built coming out from retirement. . This was inspired by Major Richard Bong’s WW2 (Philippine campaign) P-38 named “Madge”, and a Filipino modeler built 48th scale P-47 “Uniqa Hija” . . I built this in “memory” of my departed best friend and companion : my late wife.. A solo shot of Dayang Dayang (Princess in local tribal dialect) JAMILAH, with the tributee’s photo on left corner.. Oh, yes, Lady Evelyn and Dayang Jamilah are sisters.. the former is the younger of the two.. The models above are both "What-Ifs" and both having home developed and printed decals.. I hope I didn’t sound too forward with this posting… and I ask every-one’s indulgence… “Muchisimas gracias con todo ya mira!” = “Many thanks to everyone for viewing” . (this how people in my Ciudad de Zamboanga –Philippine- says it in the local pidgin Spanish called Chavacano! Regards to all... Farouk

Farouk, That is an awesome way to gift someone who is not a model builder with a built model that they can enjoy!!
Your aircraft look fantastic also.
