OK, some of you might have seen pieces fo this model in the last meeting well here is the thread with all the assembly process.. The model belongs to the Airfix line of models dating back to the seventies (i guess..) Main sprues and canopy... Some bibliography that will be of help through the process.. Instrument panel painted and detailed with pencil colors.. Checked the parts by dry fitting them.. Started adding some detail to the cockpit.. Cockpit finished with all details made from scratch.. Fuselage already glued together.. Framed the canopy with Tamiya tape and place it in position and glue it to the cockpit.. Little putty was required as the fit was good (for an airfix!!)

Nice job Carlos. What aluminum are you planning to use? Alclad, SNJ, Testors or other?

Ok here is a little progress i've done with the Mystere.. After assembling all main parts and putty and sanding I am ready to start the painting process. First some pre-shading before putting the final colors.. Did the underside first with Polly Scale Acrylic (FS36495) as it was my best option out of the colors suggested.. Once done with the lower section I covered the bottom with tamiya masking tape... [/img]http://i604.photobucket.com/albums/tt130/Carlos68/Mystere/Pro-Mystere_16.jpg I painted the earth color first freehand with my Iwata eclipse airbrush.. ..then I covered the camo with Tamiya tape and blu-tac to proceed with the next color (blue).. Ok, here is the two colors applied.. The blue one looks glossy as is the Tamiya royal blue gloss finish which later i applied a litle lightening with with the same color and a drop of white mixed after this and after i touch with a lighter shade of earth on the camo of the same color I will flatten the whole surface with an overall layer of thinned light earth to give it that dusted look from the desert.

Well although I showed the project with more advances on the last meeting here are the pictures of those advances.. Well after painting the basic colors I did some post shading or color difussion on the surfaces just to break the monotony and this is the outcome.. Then I started painting the details (brakes, landing gear, etc) For the exhaust i masked and used Testors metalizer and then a little SnJ copper powder color to give it a little different look kind like a burned metal type..

Well after a while i come back with this airplane and here are some new advances.. I added the anti glare panel.. Added the electronic systems panel (exactly for what it is i am not sure..) Applied a little gloss coat to apply the decals and then.. the decals! For the squadron badge I had to make it as it did not came with original sheet as I am making a different version. So I am reducing this picture and will print it in decal paper to apply it later.
