I must confess.... I am a model addict. I have wanted a Sally for a long time, and as I never saw one in 1/72 scale ( I know there are now, but it is also expensive) I ended up today with one in 1/144th scale. It is more of a Japanese kids toy, but it does have an instructions sheet, dozen parts and even a decal sheet! This is a Mitsubishi Ki-21 "Sally" from the 12th Sentai. The aircraft on the top is the one in this box.... Box art sheet... Kit parts with instruction sheet underneath.... The included decal sheet gives you two choices of squadron tail marking. I will post finished pictures when complete!! hehehehe

And i thought pre-painted photo-etched was cheating... ...just joking. I bet mike does not agree witht the scale ;D but, how fast are you going to finish it, since it only has 8 parts to put together?

;D Yes a nice kit! But when it first came out I thought it was expensive for a 1/72 aircraft and let it go by..... It looks good, is the cockpit resin??? I hope we will be able to see this build here too.
I wish I could find one now after looking at your picture.

No Dan, I don't post any of my work in progress in Hobbymex, this work is being posted in the following link: unosetentaydos.mforos.com/1741617/8344652-mitsubishi-ki-21-iia-sally-mpm-1-72/This Forum is in Spain and is mainly 1/72 aircraft although they have other sections available in fact right now there is about to start a special project build up of ... Sherman tanks! any scale and far as I saw the majority will be in 1/35 scale is going to be very interesting to follow up. As for my part I am in the Bomber build up group and have other projects going on there also.

Cool, thank you Carlos, I will check it out..... Do you need a sherman kit?? As a note, Airfix has the 1/72 "Pucara" kit on sale this month for $17.99 (it is a MPM kit also but boxed by Airfix)

Special Hobby has a Pucara? Is it different than the MPM kit? The add for the Airfix kit says it is the MPM mold, which is better, special hobby or mpm/airfix?? I know $15 is better than $18.... How much is a Ki-21 now??

The Ki-21 sally from MPM is at 37 dollars right now with 9 versions to choose from.
The special hobby kit for the Pucara is the same as the MPM kit only that it comes with decals for Uruguay, Colombia and UK, the price is around 21 dollars. The one from czech master is at 15 dollars and is marked as Gran Limited (?)
