The Guided missile cruiser California, a beautiful ship in my eyes, now she is mostly razor blades and soda cans. Hard to believe she came into service when I was a teen and is scrap already! Look close, tomorrow I will post California's sister ship South Carolina and you must find the differences between them. This is Another build by Corpsman, please enjoy! Model kit by: JAG, USS California CGN-36 kit number JAG016 Started: March 10th 2003, July 29th 2007, Aug 14th 2009, and Jan 11 2011! Completed: Sept 10th 2009. Hull color, Polly S Haze grey. Deck color, MM Gunship Grey 361183 Boats: Testors acrylic flat dark tan. P/E: Gold Medal Models USN/JMSDF Warship (upgraded) #700-10 Decals: The JAG decals came apart!!! Was able to use them with much TLC piecing them together! White square replaced with one from the spares box. Rigging: Canisis black fishing line Rust: Othello #89 scrapped into a container and lightly brushed onto the ship in downward strokes.
