I have been asked about posting models on this forum, so here, I hope, will be a guide that will help you.
Since we use this Proboards forum for free that keeps us from being able to directly upload pictures from your hard drive to the forum. So you must choose another site to host your pictures.
For me, I use "Photobucket" it is a free photo hosting website that takes just a little time to learn to use. I know Mexmarine uses "Imageshack" for his photo hosting, perhaps he will post about his experience with that.
A nice feature about Photobucket is that I can set the upload size to what I want. For use on this forum we have agreed that a picture size of 640 X 480 is perfect. It allows a large image to be posted, but it is not so big that the viewer must scroll side to side or up and down to see all of the image on screen at once.
How do I post?
For me,
Step 1 of course is to take the picture of the model.
Step 2, download the picture from my camera to my computer.
Step 3, Upload the pictures I like from my computer to "Photobucket".
Step 4, Open photobucket and the SSMB forum, go to the topic I want to post a picture in and start a "new thread" or find a thread to post in.
Step 4, Go to photobucket and click on the "img code" button, that will copy the image location to my clipboard, then I go to the SSMB forum and "right click" where I want the picture and click "paste" that will load the picture in the proper format for "Proboards" to use.
Step 5, when done, click on the post message and it is done.
Kind of a small pain, but it keeps the forum free.....
Part II, Tips on taking pictures.
